Pupcake

21 Jun

As a relatively new mom (I’ve only been at it for 2 1/2 years now) I have not yet found the perfect balance of television versus no television for my darling princess. With mountains of laundry and dished staring me down, an infant crying from her cradle and my desire to continuously create new cupcake deliciousness, the argument for television continues to prevail.

However, I do have to say that I am impressed with the quality of the programming I am able to find. Princess’s channel of choice is Disney Junior. With a continuous chorus of songs about colours, shapes or counting in Spanish (Thanks Handy Manny!) there is much that my daughter has learned from watching television (I continued to tell myself this so that the guilt doesn’t eat me alive….).

Delightfully, there is a blast from my past that has founds its way into the daily schedule of Princess’s television routine. Strawberry Shortcake!!

Everything old is new again, hey? I definitely still have a Strawberry Shortcake comforter from when I was 4. How many image revamps has this girl gone through already?!

So where does the cupcake connection come in here (besides the obvious Strawberry Shortcake Recipe opportunity)? Well, Strawberry has two deliciously adorable sidekicks: A kitten named Custard and a puppy named….

PUPCAKE!!

How delectably wonderful is that?!?
