Some of my most treasured memories of childhood take place in a world full of daisies, snap dragons, goose berries and sunshine. My aunt’s garden was a magical place where I could imagine, explore and simply be. I can still feel the warmth of the summer sun on my skin as we picked fresh English peas and I can still smell the sweet scent of jasmine lingering in the evening air. These are memories of utter perfection.

Now that I am grown with children of my own, I realized the importance of taking the time to create those perfect memories. However life gets busy and messy, especially with toddlers and infants always around!! But we try anyways.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to know beauty. To love and be loved. To be a part of a family. And that is our ultimate goal here in The Cupcake Garden.

We are a family. We fight, we yell, we make up, we hug, we kiss, we cry, we laugh, we love. We enjoy baking and our kitchen is home to all things cupcakes. We love to hunt for crabs at the beach. We go to the library every week for storytime. And we have a huge passion for Zimbabwe.

We are endeavouring to join our family here in Canada with the piece of our family that is still in Zimbabwe. We are so excited to expand our family by adoption. And we are overjoyed that you are here to follow our journey.

We hope that if you have found your way here that you have questions about adoption. Or that you really like cupcakes. Or that for some strange reason, you care about what happened during our week (seriously, this could get random). Whatever the reason, we are glad you are here!

So please join us in our Cupcake Garden. Wander for awhile, relax and breathe. Take a few minutes to savour everything that is right in the world, be inspired and discover your own passion.
